Our Mission:

At Bethlehem we learn, we love and we lead with Christ as our focus every day.

Bethlehem at a Glance

Founded in 1882, Bethlehem is a 4K through 8th grade private Christian school. We are part of a larger church and school organization (WELS) that serves communities like Hortonville, all over the nation.

Our Vision:

  • Christ-Centered Education

Objective: To provide a Christ-centered education that focuses on the Word of God, especially as it reveals God’s plan of salvation, creation, redemption, and sanctification in Jesus Christ

    • Proverbs 22:6 “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
    • 1 Corinthians 2:2 “For I am resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”

  • Christian Living

Objective: To encourage and teach children to apply the Word of God in service to Him, their families, their church, and their community.

    • Ephesians 5: 1-2 “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

  • Witnesses of God

Objective: To prepare children to actively witness their faith in the Hortonville community and beyond.

    • Acts 4:20 “We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”
    • 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

  • Academic and Extracurricular Excellence

Objective: To pursue academic excellence through a comprehensive and Christ-centered curriculum, including extracurricular activities.

    • Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord.”

  • Christian Teaching

Objective: To provide a team of faculty and staff who serve as role models for the students by their Christian example and who demonstrate a commitment to Lutheran education through their professional and spiritual growth.

    • II Timothy 3:14-16 “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have been convinced of because you know those from whom you learned it. And how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

  • United Ministry

Objective: To share with the entirety of Bethlehem Lutheran Ministries the blessings, operations, and needs of one another.

    • 1 Corinthians 14:40 “But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.”
