WHY MIDDLE SCHOOL AT BETHLEHEM

Students who are seen, challenged, and prepared

Middle school is where kids find out who they are. At Bethlehem, they do it inside a community that already knows them — not lost in a crowd of hundreds.

Our 6–8 students take algebra, write research papers, read classic literature, present projects, and lead chapel. By the time they graduate, they're ready for Fox Valley Lutheran High School — or any high school — with academic skills, study habits, and faith that holds up.

What We Teach in 5-8

Academic rigor, spiritual depth, and real-world skills.

Pre-Algebra & Algebra

Our 8th graders can complete Algebra 1 — the same course taught to high school freshmen at FVL HS — before they ever walk through the high school doors.

Writing & Literature

Research papers, essays, classic literature, and public speaking. Students graduate able to write and present with confidence.

Life & Earth Science

Lab-based science with real experiments. Biology, chemistry foundations, earth systems — taught through a Christian worldview that honors both Scripture and discovery.

Bible & Catechism

Deep dives into Scripture, Luther's Small Catechism, and application to real teenage life. Students are prepared for confirmation and adult faith.

Athletics & Extracurriculars

Cross country, volleyball, basketball, track, VEX robotics, chess, forensics, choir, hand chimes — kids find their thing here.

High School Prep

Study skills, time management, note-taking, and organization. Our graduates hit high school ready to compete and thrive.

"Our daughter transferred to Bethlehem in 6th grade from the public school. Within a month, her grades went up and her confidence came back."
